Coral Reef Yacht Club is located on the western shore of Biscayne Bay in Coconut Grove, Miami, just north of Dinner Key Marina and south of the Rickenbacker Causeway.

There are two primary approaches to the Club:

Dinner Key Main Channel

  • Maintained depth: approximately 8 feet
  • Recommended for vessels drawing more than 5 feet
  • Safe entry point: N 25°42.98' / W 080°12.40'
  • Recommended heading: 330°

Approaching from the south, proceed north toward downtown Miami and enter through the Main Dinner Key Channel. Once inside the basin, favor the starboard side near the Dinner Key docks. After rounding the docks, remain to port and continue past the Shell fuel dock, Shake-A-Leg Miami, Monty's, and Biscayne Bay Yacht Club. Coral Reef Yacht Club will be located ahead on the western shoreline.

Seaplane Channel

  • Maintained depth: approximately 5 feet
  • Northernmost entrance to Coconut Grove
  • Safe entry point: N 25°42.13' / W 080°12.57'
  • Recommended heading: 330°

Approaching from downtown Miami, pass beneath the Rickenbacker Causeway Bridge and proceed toward the Quick Flash Marker. The entrance to the Seaplane Channel is marked by a lighted dolphin marker. From the entrance, steer toward the SBS Building, one of the tallest buildings in Coconut Grove, with Monty's visible along the waterfront. Begin your turn to starboard approximately 100 yards before reaching the docks. Do not cut the corner, as the area is shallow. Continue past Biscayne Bay Yacht Club and proceed directly to Coral Reef Yacht Club.
